FAQ

Why choose Pole Dance Allure over the other studios?

  • We offer affordable pricing on classes & parties
  • We have classes everyday of the week
  • You can pay one class at a time. Most studios make you sign up for big expensive monthly packages.
  • No overcrowding. We have 10 dance poles and we do one person to a pole.  We book our classes for up to 10 people and only go over if friends would like to share poles.
  • There are no levels. We offer open level classes for beginner, intermediate & advanced students.  You can learn as much as you want based on your fitness level and how quickly you catch on.  This means you'll learn faster and become a pro in no time. We want you to be great, we won't hold you back!
  • Classes are 1 hour
  • Sexy, Smart, Experienced, Confident & Entertaining Instructors that make you feel comfortable and teach you everything they know.

Do I have to pay online to?
You do to reserve your own pole/space in class.  If you are unable to pay online, you can also drop off payment at studio in advance.  You can pay the day of your class but we are unable to hold a space in class for you and you risk showing up to a booked class and not being able to participate.

How long are the classes?

Classes are 1 hour

Can I start my own group?
Yes you can. You can get with your family, friends or co-workers and have a great time and feel comfortable enough to let loose and find your inner sensual goddess.

What do I Wear/Bring?
Wear shorts or yoga pants and a tank top/t-shirt.  Wear shorts if you would like to be able to climb pole and learn upside down pole tricks. You need skin to stick to the pole.
Shoes: Wear shoes that fit snug, no pointy toe or dressy shoes.
You can also purchase shoes at studio for $40 and up.  Bring a towel and water bottle because you will work up a sweat.

What if I have no upper body strength?
90% of the women that start doing pole dance think they have no upper body strength and most have no physical fitness background.  You do not have to have a fitness background to do pole tricks.  We do strength training exercises in all of our classes before beginning and pole play.  All of our students are able to easily learn pole tricks in their first class no matter what there fitness level or size.  You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish your first day and you'll feel so empowered to know you did it.  Each week your strength will improve just like with any other workout program.  So get ready to twirl.

What if I'm shy?
Our instructors & other students make you feel very comfortable. We have dimly lit classes to set the mood.  We have so much fun, we laugh, we joke, we play and have an amazing time.  Sexy doesn't have to be serious, it just has to be you letting go and enjoying all the woman you are.  We'll teach you how to let your inner sex kitten come out. Roarrrrrr!

If I'm overweight can I still do pole dance?
Of course you can.  The recommended maximum weight for pole use is 200lbs for the Lil Mynx pole and up to 275lbs for Xpole. We use Lil Mynx & Xpole in our studio. Pole Dancing is a workout, so if you are overweight this will help you lose weight and feel great about yourself.  Take our Body Blast Class to help you lose those unwanted pounds (see class schedule)

Is there any risk of injury?
Like any other form of exercise, there is always the risk of injury.  You will be moved at your own pace in class and safety will always be first.  One of the most common down sides to pole dancing are the bruises that you'll get from wrapping your legs around the pole.  "Buy hey, I'll trade feeling sexy for a few bruises."

How do I practice at home?
You can purchase Nicole's instructional DVD's and also get your own pole at home if you want to practice what you've learned in class.  We sell the lil mynx pole & Xpole at a discounted price. If you don't have a pole at home you can still work on your moves that don't require a pole such as your walk, dance choreography & floor work.

What type of pole will we be using in class?
In Class we will be using the "Lil Mynx" 2" stainless steel pole featured on Oprah and other TV shows. We also use the XPole in studio. We sale the Lil Mynx pole & XPole and if you are interested in your own pole you can buy one directly from us at a discounted price.  Click here to order your own pole: Buy a Pole
