How do I get started?
It's very easy. If you are brand new to pole dance you'll sign up for the "intro to pole" or "beginner" pole class. "Intro to pole" is a slow paced class which can be taken 1-4 times and "Beginner" is a faster paced class and the students in this class have been coming for a few weeks. If you want to sign up for a fitness class, then you'll look at the schedule and see what days and times best suit your schedule. Click the "Register for Class" link and sign up with our online scheduling system. * Click here to REGISTER *
Do I have to pay online to register for class?
You
do to reserve your own space in class. If you are unable
to pay online, you can pay over the phone or you must arrive at least 20 minutes early to register before class. However, we are unable to hold a space in class for
you and you risk showing up to a booked class and not being able to
participate. You can always check online or call the studio before arriving to make sure there are openings.
Shoes:
Wear an old pair of heels that fit snug, no pointy toe or dressy shoes. You can also purchase shoes at studio for
$40 and up. We also have loaners shoes you can use until you purchase your own pair.

What if I have no upper body strength?
90%
of the women that start doing pole dance think they have no upper body strength
and most have no physical fitness background. You do not have to have a
fitness background or be flexible to do pole dance. We do strength training exercises
in all of our classes to increase your strength All of our students
are able to easily learn pole tricks in their first class no matter what there
fitness level or size. You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish your
first day and you'll feel so empowered to know you did it. Each week your
strength will improve just like with any other workout program. So get
ready to twirl.
What if I'm shy?
Our
instructors & other students make you feel very comfortable. We have dimly
lit classes to set the mood. We have so much fun, we laugh, we joke,
we play and have an amazing time. Sexy doesn't have to be serious, it
just has to be you letting go and enjoying all the woman you are. We'll
teach you how to let your inner sex kitten come out. Roarrrrrr!
If I'm overweight can I still do pole dance?
Of
course you can. The maximum weight for pole use is 275lbs for Xpole. Pole Dancing is a workout, so if you are overweight this will help
you lose weight and feel great about yourself. Take our Fitness Classes for additional help to lose those unwanted pounds.
Is there any risk of injury?
Like
any other form of exercise, there is always the risk of injury. You will
be moved at your own pace in class and safety will always be
first. One of the most common down sides to pole dancing are the
bruises that you'll get from wrapping your legs around the pole. "Buy hey, I'll trade feeling sexy for a
few bruises."
How do I practice at home?
You
can purchase Nicole's instructional DVDs and also get your own pole at home if
you want to practice what you've learned in class. We sell the Lil Mynx pole & X Pole at a discounted price. If you don't have a pole
at home you can still work on your moves that don't require a pole such as your
walk, dance choreography & floor work.
What type of pole will we be
using in class?
In Class we use #1 Pole on the market, XPole. We have standard size and also petite poles. We also sale the XPole & Lil Mynx Dance Poles and if you are interested in
your own pole you can buy one directly from us at a discounted price.
