Favorite Pole Spin: Flying Body Spiral
Well known for: Walking it out on the Ceiling

Nicole has been a Personal Trainer for over 9 years and is an all around athlete. Pole dancing came very natural for her due to her athletic background.  However turning a tomboy into a sexy diva was quite the challenge. But with practice & determination she turned herself into a Sexy Pole Dancing Diva.

"Sexy movement was not something I actually felt comfortable doing. I had to teach myself how to relax, slow down, feel my body and be graceful. Pole Dancing is a Powerful Movement and I absolutely love how empowered & confident my clients feel after their first class.  I've traded my dumbbells in for my pole and so can you.

Pole Dancing is no longer a hidden art form.  We're taking it out of the strip clubs and bringing it to the average woman in a classier, sexier, and intimate environment where any woman can feel comfortable with herself."

Jennifer was born and raised in Los Angeles. She is a single mother of an autistic child and volunteers with autism awareness organizations. Jennifer loves spending time with family and friends. She enjoys water sports, dining out, photography, traveling and Lakers basketball.  As a strong believer of civil rights, she is currently employed as a legal assistant for a civil litigation firm whose primary focus is police misconduct cases.  A friend recommended pole dancing at Allure Studios to Jennifer, and she has been a student of Nicole's ever since.

"I was a gym addict, going to the gym everyday. Kickboxing and yoga were my favorite workouts. Then I added pole dance to my fitness routine.  Since I am not athletically inclined, I wasn’t a "natural" at  pole dancing... but with practice and determination I succeeded, and now I'm an instructor!  It is the best workout because not only do I burn calories, but I have so much fun."

Connie Cloy
Teaching Level: Beginner to Intermediate
Favorite Pole Trick: Butterfly

Photobucket Connie was born in Seattle, WA and moved to Las Vegas where she began her career in finance and discovered her love for fitness. After changing her lifestyle with clean eating and exercise Connie lost 30 lbs which inspired her to help other people to reach their goals and improve their lifestyle.

While visiting Los Angeles a few times and falling in love with the city of Angels she decided to move there in December 2008. Being new to the city she joined a gym but was soon tired of the normal routine.  She realized that in order to maintain her weight and health she’d have to find a new avenue for fitness that would be more challenging so she decided to try something completely different. Always interested in pole dancing but worried she didn’t have the coordination she decided it was time to leave her old comfort zone and give it a shot.  She found Allure Dance Studio online and realized it would also be a great place to meet new people as well as get a decent work out. Well, after her first class she was hooked and very sore in muscles she never knew existed.  Needless to say she decided that because it was a great workout and so much fun becoming a teacher was something she had to do.

Continuing her career in finance Connie is also in the process of pursuing her career in health, fitness, and motivation.  By simply leading by example, she has helped friends and family members reach their fitness goals and wants to help others to do the same.

One Word to Describe How Pole Dancing Makes You Feel: Sexy

Photobucket

Beverly is a Los Angeles native who was born to parents who love to dance. She followed her parents’ footsteps and quickly became a natural at dancing. In her youth she took Hula and Polynesian Dancing.  She quickly fell in love with the culture and lifestyle. At one point in her life she didn’t want to do anything else, but dance Hula. Beverly has always been active during her youth taking hip hop dance, martial arts, and swimming. Just like every woman, she loves being pampered, shopping, and fine dining. During her free time, she enjoys boating, jet skiing, traveling, working out, and most of all cherishes the times spent with family and friends more than anything.

The fascination of exotic dancing and the dancers toned bodies led her to
pole dance classes. She’d attended a few pole dance studios in the Los Angeles area, but found Allure Dance & Fitness Studio as her number one choice.  Beverly's background in hula dancing (which consisted of moving your hips really fast) wasn't used to the very sensual and seductive movement of pole dancing, but later adapted to it.

“When pole dancing I just unleash my inner sexy alter ego and just let my body move freely. The Art of Pole Dancing is a great work out and a must try. Trust me ladies, you will be hooked once you see yourself wearing those stilettos. Join the Pole Dance Movement!”

One word to describe how pole dancing makes me feel: Confident!
 Photobucket

Candy Winters was born in San Francisco and raised in Reno, Nevada. She moved to Los Angeles in 2006 to start school studying fashion design at Otis College of Art and Design. Candy took her first pole dancing class in January, 2009 as a result of her New Years resolution to "feel sexy all the time", and she will tell you it's the first resolution she's ever kept! Growing up she was never athletic...she was more into singing, acting and playing in bands. Going to the gym just ended up being too boring, and with her hectic school schedule she needed something to keep her interested. Like many others, Candy did a simple internet search and found Pole Dance Allure, and has been hooked on pole dancing ever since the first class!

"My dance background is very minimal, and I've never been into any kind of sports or anything involving a lot of physical activity...so for me to get so into pole dancing is just a dream come true! I've finally found something I enjoy, something I can do well and something that motivates me to stay healthy and keep me in shape. If I can do it, anyone can!"

At nine, she assisted in teaching adult jazz. Later on she trained at Debbie Reynold’s for a spell, Edge Performing Arts, and in high school performed in the Beverly Hills Dance Company, and as a Norman cheerleader. Growing up, he never had a sport that he dedicated his time to, but always enjoyed taking classes to hone his skills in gymnastics, hip hop dancing, contortion, Jamaican dance-hall, belly dancing, and martial arts. By the time Josiah reached the age of seventeen, he was already looking for the next level in his artistic career. While at gymnastics, one day he miraculously found his talents all meshing together while joking around on a slanted pole in the gym. After this short brush with destiny, he began investing numerous hours of time & money into training himself to becoming the phenomenal acrobatic pole dancer that he has become today. From his bedroom in Reseda, California, he started creating videos of his pole art and began to upload them to Youtube, where he became well known in the Pole dancing community. On his third month of creating videos, Grant instantaneously discovered his alter ego "Bad Azz", and has been performing all over the United States displaying his art at several night clubs, and most recently appeared on the " Jerry Springer Show" as a special pole dancing performer. Incredible

Rashida Neal-Simon was born and raised in Los Angeles. Her background is a Hip-Hop choreographer.  In her early years, she was in a variety of music videos and part of a dance troop that traveled and competed around the state.  In high school, she was always looked upon to make up routines for school dance performances.   As she grew older and started a family, her passion died out, and that’s when she slowly put on weight.  After learning about Allure Dance Studio through a friend, she joined in August 2009 and has been hooked every since.  By attending the Body Blast Class 3x a week and Pole Virgin class 2x a week, she lost 18 lbs and still counting.

“Pole dancing gave me a new passion and desire to help others feel incredible and amazing.  With any workout, you start from the beginning and gradually you will see a difference in your body, attitude, and life.  I started with no strength, no core, and knew nothing at all about this art.  Within months, I was climbing to the top of the pole, going upside down, lifting my feet off the ground, and much more.  Ladies if I can do it, then you can too… So please allow me to meet you at the studio and help you learn!!”

One word to describe how dancing makes me feel: Understood

Ashley Wright born and raised in Southern California has always involved herself in some sort of physical activity because exercise is an important facet of staying healthy. When she took her first pole dance class, she completely fell in love with the art and what it has done for her physically, mentally and emotionally. The sensuality of the art has made her walk and stand taller. Overcoming the physical objections/difficulty of learning each move has increased her confidence and has not only made her physically stronger but mentally stronger as well. Ashley approaches every situation in her life as she does a new pole move; knowing that SHE CAN DO IT. She states, "Pole dancing has become my anti-drug, my stress reliever. The thrill that I get dancing alone or performing in front of a crowd is unexplainable. I am always willing to showcase the art, teach others and support the growth of this remarkable discovery. The best part of being a pole dancer is walking around, thinking in my head "You don’t know what I can do".
