How long are the classes?

We have 1 hour and 1:15min classes.  You may also request for 1 1/2 to 2 hours for addt'l cost.

Can I start my own group?

Yes you can. You can get with your family, friends or co-workers and have a great time and feel comfortable enough to let loose and find your inner sex kitten.

What if I have no upper body strength?
90% of the women that start doing pole dance think they have no upper body strength and most have no physical fitness background.  You do not have to workout to do pole tricks.  All of our students are able to easily learn pole tricks in their first class no matter what there fitness level or size is.  You'll be amazed at what you can accomplish your first day and you'll feel so empowered to know you did it.  So get ready to twirl.

What if I'm shy?
Our instructors make you feel very comfortable. We keep the class atmosphere fun and light.  We laugh, we joke, we play and have an amazing time.  Sexy doesn't have to be serious, it just has to be you letting go and enjoying all the woman you are.  We'll teach you how to let your inner sex kitten come out. Roarrrrrr!

What do I wear/bring?
Put on your sexiest outfits: boy shorts, lingerie, etc. Get Creative and Wild. It's all about unleashing your inner sex kitten.  Or you can just wear workout clothes: T-shirt, shorts or yoga pants. If you currently don't have any stripper shoes, you can do class barefoot.  You can also purchase shoes at studio for $40-$45.  Bring a towel and water bottle because you will work up a sweat.

If I'm overweight can I still do pole dance?

Of course you can.  The recommended maximum weight for pole use is 200lbs for the lil mynx pole and up 350lbs for Xpole. We use X poles at The Evolve Dance Studio and Lil Mynx Poles at our other studios.  But if you're at this weight or you weigh more you can still learn the movement, the floor exercises, you can use the pole as a prop and do some of the more basic spins.  Pole Dancing is a workout, so if you're overweight this will help you lose weight and feel great about yourself.

Is there any risk of injury?

Like any other form of exercise, there is always the risk of injury.  You will be moved at your own pace in class and safety will always be first.  One of the most common down sides to pole dancing are the bruises that you'll get from wrapping your legs around the pole.  "Buy hey, I'll trade feeling sexy for a few bruises."

How do I practice at home?

You can get your own pole at home if you want to practice what you've learned in class.  We sell the lil mynx pole at a discounted price. If you don't have a pole at home you can still work on your moves that don't require a pole such as your walk, dance choreography & floor work.  You can also bring a camera to record yourself in class so that you can see your moves and the areas you need to work on.

What type of pole will we be using in class?

In Class we will be using the "Lil Mynx" 2" stainless steel pole featured on Oprah and other tv shows. I am a reseller for the Lil Mynx pole and if you are interested in your own pole you can buy one directly from me at a discounted price.
